Two European heavyweights are interested in making Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi their next managerial appointment ahead of this summer. This is according to the report from Italian publication Corrieredello Sport. It was disclosed that both Manchester United and Spanish champions Atletico Madrid are interested in Inzaghi who has done a very good job since swapping Lazio for Inter Milan at the start of last season.
Inzaghi impressed as the Lazio manager for several years and he was even able to seal Champions League qualification in a tough league like the Italian Serie A after several years. The quality shown by him at Lazio landed him the Nerazzuri job last summer. He was named the replacement for Antonio Conte who won the league title for Inter Milan for the first time in over a decade.

Lazio has announced that they have extended the contract of the manager Simone Inzaghi. The Italian manager will be available for the club till June 2021 and will work for them and guide players. He was with the club for over 20 years and has created legends for Lazio. According to Igli Tare, the sporting director of Lazio, he has some unfinished business left with Lazio and will be available to them till 2021.
Now, the club is gearing up to add some new names in the squad after the extension of their coach. The first name in the list is Manuel Lazzari of Spal, who is also a target for Inter and Napoli. Also, the name of Anderlecht midfielder Peter Zulj has come up for Lazio. He is an Austrian midfielder who plays for Belgian Pro League club Anderlecht. He is valued at €5 million and is believed to get signed by Igli Tare, the sporting director of Lazio who has also signed Milinkovic-Savic from Belgium. Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi has said that the club have their destiny in their own hands with victories in their remaining league games assuring them of Champions League football. The Capital outfit have a tricky fixture against Torino this weekend and Inzaghi has urged his players to maintain the focus on the current fixture.
Speaking in his weekly conference, he said: “We have a very important match against a side with fine players who won at the Olimpico earlier this season. Attitude will count for a lot, so we must treat this as a one-off game. I asked the players not to think about the remaining fixtures, but only about Torino. Our destiny is in our hands. It’s a complicated fixture list, especially with Inter in the final match, but we have to treat Torino like a Final.”
