Goals by Balde Keita in the 29th minute of the game and Senac Lulic around the 90th minute ensured that Lazio emerged victors against a rather formidable Empoli side on Sunday 25th.

Lazio have been riddled with injury issues amongst some of its star players such as Lucas Biglia, DusanBasta, Federico Marchetti and Bastos. They took the lead through Balde Keita at the 29th minute of the game with a right footed shot from the centre of the box that found its way into the bottom right corner of Empoli's net.

The fine imposed on the Italian football federation by the governing body, FIFA, came after a match on September 5, between the Italian and Israeli team. An official complaint was sent to the FIFA by the Israeli Football Association after fans of the Italian national team spat and made offensive gestures at their rival Israeli supporters.
An £24,000 fine was placed on the football association after FIFA made its investigations into the matter and found the actions of the fans quite offensive.
Two men were however taken out of the Italian section of the stadium by police officers attending the World Cup qualifiers played out at the Sammy Ofer stadium in Haifa and sent out of the premises during the match where Italy beat Israel 3-1. They however were not arrested.

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi has stated that the team is still active in the transfer market and is looking for players to strengthen the team.

He said that it is not easy to find good players at good prices at the moment and that they are still working hard on that front.

A shocking report has revealed that Lazio have had only 11 season tickets renewed for the upcoming 2016-17 season.
This dismal number comes as a major shock even to those who are regular supporters of the club. There has been going disgruntlement amongst supporters after one of the worst seasons in the club’s history. The club enjoyed Champions League football in the 2015-16 season as a result of doing well in the 2014-15 campaign. However, they failed to build on this success and ended up finishing eighth in the table last season.

According to reports by Football Italia, Cesare Prandelli is set to take over the manager’s position at Lazio.
Prandelli was reported to have met with Claudio Lotito to listen to the Biancocelesti job offer. The former Galatasaray coach has agreed a two-year contract and the club are expected to announce his appointment today.

Serie A side, Lazio, will play champions, Juventus in a crucial match on Wednesday, 20th April, 2016.
The team in eighth place are already wary of the champions. Juventus have won 24 of their last 25 League games, and are nine points clear from others in the Serie A. Lazio’s Coach, Simone Inzaghi, told reporters that his team will play their normal game.
In the pre-match Press conference, the coach said:

Lazio is desperate to change their team in order to compete better in the Serie A next season. New players and possibly a new manager could be brought in to help the team compete again for the title.
Media has revealed that Lazio might be interested in signing the Spanish striker Fernando Torres from fellow Italian club AC Milan. Torres is currently on loan to his hometown club Athletico Madrid where he has managed five goals.
