Roma and Lazio share the StadioOlimpico Stadium, but the former had home advantage for their Italian Serie A clash at the weekend and they made it count in an emphatic manner.

England international Tammy Abraham has been in very good form for Roma this season and he gave his team a fast start in the Rome Derby. The Ex-Aston Villa and Chelsea striker scored the opener inside the first minute of the game thus taking his league tally to 14 goals. The Lazio defence could not handle the pace, power and trickery of Abraham.
He added a second goal for Roma shortly before the midway point of the first 45 minutes before Italian national team star Lorenzo Pellegrini scored the third goal for Jose Mourinho’s men five minutes from the interval.
The Rome Derby over the weekend was over as a spectacle after AS Roma sealed the win in the first 40 minutes of the game. Roma scored all their three goals in the first half and they managed to keep a clean sheet throughout the game.
The big win over Lazio was a significant one for AS Roma who moved above their rivals into sixth spot with 51 points from 30 league games. Roma have the same number of points as Atalanta in fifth spot but they have played one game more than the Europa League campaigners. In the race for fourth spot, Roma and Atalanta are both eight points adrift of Juventus in fourth place. Atalanta have the edge over Roma because of the extra game.
